HiBob (Bob) is the standout modern HRIS in Irish scale-ups. Strong employee experience, fast implementation, good API surface — it’s why almost every 100–800 FTE Dublin tech company we work with shortlists it. The trade-off is depth: HiBob does the HRIS layer well, but payroll, performance, and learning are partner-led, not native.

Where it fits
  • 100–1,000 FTE scaling tech / SaaS

    Modern UX, integrations to every adjacent SaaS, and a configurable data model. Dublin tech HQs land here regularly.

  • Engagement and culture as a priority

    The "Club" surfaces (shoutouts, kudos, employee voice) are real features, not lipstick.

  • Fast time-to-value

    8–14 week implementations are realistic in Ireland with the right partner. Workday and SuccessFactors can’t touch that.

Where it doesn’t
  • Native multi-country payroll requirement

    HiBob Payroll is partner-led (Papaya, Deel, ADP). Strong API, but it’s a stack, not a suite.

  • Mature performance / compensation cycles

    Workable for goal-tracking; less mature for complex calibration / forced-distribution comp planning.

  • Enterprise-grade compliance / validation
